1. What is Illusory Abuse?
When a person having control or influence over another utilizes communication and a repetitive dialog of falsehoods to reshape and program the thoughts, feelings, and actions of another.
2. Related Forms of Abuse
Physical Abuse: When an assailant desires to assume or regain control of their victim through physical force or restraint.
Psychological/Emotional Abuse: When an assailant desires to assume or regain control of the victim by altering or impacting their perception and understanding of themselves and reality through a psychological or emotional form of restraint.
3. Illusory Abuse Defined
Illusory Abuse – (Post-Truth Politics): The repetitive deployment of a false narrative by an assailant to alter or impact the world’s perception or understanding of the victim to accomplish and satisfy a motive or objective (i.e., mental illness/depression, attention/sympathy, financial profit, alibi, or revenge (1.)) against the person being targeted. In this form of abuse, the assailant acquires or reacquires control of their victim by altering/distorting the existential reality (world/reality) they retreat to. At the same time, transforming and distorting others’ understanding and perception of the victim in that world/reality to further or continue isolating the victim from healthy support systems while the assailant continues victimizing the person being targeted.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms related to illusory abuse are available regarding evidence of the victim’s response to a potential or perceived external threat, whether real or believed to exist, that the victim believes will cause a manifestation or reexperience of the original trauma experienced during the initial false allegation of criminal conduct.

This published correspondence includes historical correspondence and multimedia footage supporting a conclusion of malicious abuse of our nation’s law enforcement and justice system by citizens filing police reports supported by zero evidence, and evidence of unethical acs executed by involved government bodies during public record requests in accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 22 during the author’s interstate investigation during 2019 – present regarding the concealment of his children in the states of California, Iowa, and Montana (known). The author of this published correspondence is a twenty-year retired Veteran with an Honorable Discharge that maintained a security clearance during his career that has never been charged or arrested for a crime. This published correspondence communicates zero conclusions other than defining the author’s interpretation and study of illusory abuse. Only the court within each respective jurisdiction has the authority to determine if a violation of our laws has occurred. Any conclusions arrived at belong to the reader.
The author’s belief in October 2018 (Enclosure 8.) that the leadership of Hope United Methodist Church (at that time) of Marshalltown, IA, was in contact with Claudia J. Bergman (f.k.a. Claudia J. Merritt) is supported by an individual’s name that previously belonged to this church’s leadership appearing in Claudia J. Bergman’s correspondence and public social media posts (Approximately 1,786 miles distance between both parties known locations). Additionally, an individual previously belonging to Hope United Methodist Church’s leadership acknowledged receipt of information in January 2018 consistent with the testimony that only originated from Claudia J. Bergman during 2017 – 2022 (known) that San Diego East County Superior Court Department 5, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Navy determined there is zero evidence to support.
Therefore, the author of this correspondence has no direct evidence of communications between the leadership of Hope United Methodist Church. However, the conclusion of communication between Claudia J. Bergman and previous Hope United Methodist Church leadership of Marshalltown, IA is supported by written testimony provided by Claudia J. Bergman during 2018 indicating she would contact Hope United Methodist Church leadership. In addition, Reverend Heecheon H. Jeon of the Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church provided an attachment to an electronic mail in the form of a document allegedly produced by former Pastor Nancy (Nan) Smith of Hope United Methodist Church of Marshalltown, IA, confirming this contact occurred.
