Journalistic Ethics Concerns – Newton Daily News

The Alleged Evolution of Journalism to Propaganda

Dear Sir or Ma’am:

I respectfully request points of contact within the organizations addressed in the action addressee section of this electronic mail regarding the evidence I believe questions the journalistic integrity of the Newton Daily News’ reporting regarding public records access and other alleged civil and constitutional rights violations that have occurred within Jasper County, IA it has recently reported on. I have evidence that shows the Newton Daily News was electronically provided numerous data points of evidence of an alleged constitutional rights violation before the 2022 election related to Jasper County, IA’s alleged desire to suppress public speech about its historical handling of domestic abuse and 2nd Amendment gun rights. At the same time, Jasper County, IA Supervisor Talsma, and Jasper County, IA Attorney Nicholson were seeking re-election.

Given the evidence of the national tragedy that recently occurred in the City of Perry, Iowa, I believe that the alleged elected leaders who suppress free speech related to 2nd Amendment rights and evidence questioning whether local news agencies are assisting these government bodies with the distribution of a false/favorable narrative should be publicly reviewed, investigated, and inspected to determine the journalistic value of that organization and whether it has a relevant position in the future of journalism.

In the ultra-competitive climate of modern journalism, which includes competition from social media, independent bloggers, and other modern cloud-based means of news distribution, there is no room for news outlets that produce evidence of disseminating information that misrepresents facts, fails to include publicly available information that produces question regarding journalistic intent/motive, or the production of evidence that may produce reasonable questions regarding a news organization assisting a government body or any organization with the production and distribution of false or misrepresented information that may produce prejudice leading to discrimination against a target or protected classes via information that evidence indicates they are publicly misrepresenting.

I will publicly challenge the integrity of information the Newton Daily News has recently disseminated during public meetings within Jasper County, IA, during the rest of 2024 with the presentation of proper evidence.

Respectfully,
