Reference (3.) was sent to Guthrie County, IA via United States Postal Service First Class Mail. Reference (4.) was sent to Guthrie County, IA via electronic mail as shown in Reference (5.). Reference (6.) is Guthrie County IA’s only response as of 01 MAR 2022. Reference (7.) addressed the inadequate response by Guthrie County, IA, and was sent to Guthrie County, IA via electronic mail as shown in Reference (8.)

7. Proposed Actions to be Taken

The originator of this correspondence and all referenced requests for records in accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 22 is requesting assistance from the Iowa Public Information Board in ascertaining the delay in providing a response or the requested documents by Guthrie County, IA.

As a twenty-year United States Navy Veteran, Cryptologist, and Information Systems Technician responsible for leading personnel in their execution of processing, distributing, and releasing classified message traffic to authorized users in joint and allied tactical environments. The author of this memorandum is intrigued regarding the excessive delay of the City of Ames, IA’s response to a request for records in accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 22.
